Planning a trip to Paris on the train and for dates I want the difference between Standard class and Premier is about £80 per person each way.

What's the difference in terms of legroom, shoulder room and absence of screaming kids?

which premier?

Theres standard premier, and business premier.

Standard premier has the bigger first class seats, but without all the stuff like lounge access, and fancy meal. Business premier has the same seats as standard premier, but marginally better meal (still terrible from what I've heard) and a lousy lounge.

£80 extra each way sounds like a lot. You used to be able to get standard premier for about £160 return on sales

I was thinking of Standard Premier, Business Premier looks a bit much considering it's the same seat and I don't need the flexibility.

3 abreast seating is nice (1 and 2). Fewer ankle-biters is a bonus! We've found that if you're booking a full train+hotel package on Eurostar then the upgrade to Premier can be very cheap.

There's also a super secret cabin for celebs yes - also for joining the mile low club if you know a senior manager (allegedly...)

Not worth it for £80 each way. I've upgraded before but only when it was £20 or so. And certainly no guarantee that you'll avoid the kids!
