We are looking at going to DLP next year combined with a week at Centre Parcs in Paris. Last time I went to DLP was approximately 18 years ago with an ex and I remember it being quite expensive then. We stayed at the large white disney hotel at the end of a lake and the breakfast buffet was excellent. Decent quality food and in plentiful supply. However it was vast and quite overwhelming.

I looked at us staying at a DLP resort for a week and I was quite surprised by how much it was. I recon we could go to Orlando for 9 days with Villa for similar money and come back with change! Did research the Davey Crocket ranch but that looked very very poor.

There are loads of good channels on YouTube that have some great advice on DLP and Orlando. Well worth a watch. I think TimTracker has been to DLP and he is quite a good Vlogger.

I agree that packed lunches are way cheaper, but there will be some food stuffs that are worth paying for. Also, its a bit sad to go somewhere like DLP and sit on a grass verge unwrapping cling wrapped sandwiches. Its well documented how expensive it is there, so just go prepared.
