Your in France , you can take your dog almost everywhere ! As long as it's well behaved no one will bat an eyelid , I've even seen toy dogs in supermarket trolleys .
I would be surprised (and delighted) if dogs were welcome in Cathedrale Notre-Dame de Rouen. Anyone know?

Not much at salbris mind , broke down there once , vierzon is just as bad , stranded for 3 boring days waiting for parts , Orleans is a better bet I was told
Salbris is just an overnighter here. http://www.hotelvalaudran.com/en/ stayed a couple of yrs ago great restaurant. We've been to Rouen a few times would recommend La Petite Auberge http://www.restaurant-petite-auberge.fr/ Don't have any connection with the restaurant, our friends who live in Rouen took us there the first time and we've going back every time we visit.
