Looking for some ideas for where to go end of Aug for a week

I am 35 going with my GF, (no kids) not looking for mental nightlife just a resort with nice restaurants and bars (cocktail bars, comfy seating etc)

Like sea fronts
Marinas
or nice towns (lindos like)

Any ideas?

Well if Blackpool was ok then Coata Adeje in Tenerife will blow your mind! wink

Checkout villa Vik in lanzarote - very intimate and quite unusual - not been for 10 years so check reviews

Paphos in Cyprus

Loads of great bars , good restaurants very chilled out and great for people watching at night

Mid 30 during the day with 23 at night

The rental market in Cyprus is very poor just now so there is bargains to be had if you play hard

Not been for a while but Santa Eulalia in Ibiza and only 2 hrs away.

If you want something else you can bob over into Ibiza town for an evening or 2

Split, Croatia maybe?
Was there last year with work and really liked it. Popped into town on our night off and thought it was great. I told the mrs when i got home how lovely it was and def on the list of places for us to visit together.

Meant to say, can't help with resorts though as 95% of the time we sleep in the trucks, (work i mean, not me and the mrs.)
On our hols though we are like you, decent bars, marinas, harbours, good food and no chav type 18-30 resorts smile
Sorrento in Italy is also great.

Sivota, Greece and stay in The Diamond Spa hotel.

Best chill out holiday I have been on and got everything you need when you walk down to the harbour i.e. Bars and restaurants.

I love sitting in one of the bars with a nice cold beer, people and yacht watching.

Can recommend both Croatia and Kos having been to both (well Kos 3 times) in the past 24 months

We wanted similar, although are slightly younger.

Kos:

Stayed at a place called Kipriatis (spelling) Maris although panarama is also good. 10 minute cycle to town for some late night drinks and a nice all inclusive resort. If you choose this I'll give you some more things that we enjoyed etc.

Croatia:

We did this via a road trip to Split bit actually stayed on a small island called Brac (Bol, Milna and Zlatni Rat) just out of there - Krka lakes are lovely although there aren't really as many resorts around compared to the typical destinations but we preferred renting an apartment (£160 for 2 weeks in July) and eating out every night. You may also want to look at Hvar and Dubrovnik although the latter too far away from the lovely historical towns of Trogir and Split itself.

Google pictures of the places I've mentioned and you'll see its amazing or look for my road trip write up on here ("meet the chav and maiden euro trip" or similar - cant link on phone)

And if you decided on Croatia try and get a daytime flight and a window seat. We flew down from Germany to catch the trucks up and the views on the plane approaching Split were bloody lovely.

No problem. I also think it happens to have the best view, looking out to Corfu..

The restaurants are just very Greek and no fancy bars but I love the place.
