Unless you're talking every dirt road known to man then the red Hallwag No11 USA Road Guide (1:1,200,000) is what you want.

That takes you down to major B road level, with city center detail maps for; the Miami/Fort Lauderdale/etc east coast, Naples, Tampa/St Petersurg, Sarasota, Orlando, Daytona Beach, Jacksonville, and a couple of others. More than sufficient to get you off the Interstates and Turnpike and on to the older roads through real America.

Personally - screw the East coast, screw the Keys and screw Disney. The Gulf coast between Naples and Tampa/St Pete. is just a much nicer place to be.

We are there from next Tuesday and will be taking our TomTom with us, bought a USA maps SD card from Ebay for approx £12 and it worked perfectly when we used it in California.

NavFree US - app on iPhone but suspect it's on android etc too. Never bothered with maps, just sat down the night before, decided where we wanted to go, punched it in and then also booked a hotel for the night using hotels.com
