I'm visiting Las Vegas twice in the next month. I'm going to be doing all the regular stuff, but does anyone have any suggestions that I may not know about or might be interest?

A quick search reveals numerous other threads of a similar nature on Vegas. Did you try the search function?

Unfortunately I'm not interested in boxing, nor does it coincide with the dates I'm going smile

Anything happening between 30th August - 1st September or 6th-8th September?

Supercar/ muscle car driving experiences around red rock?

I was there in March/April and we did the usual bits and pieces. Highlights were Shooting machine guns (Battlefield Vegas where they picked us up from the hotel in an Army Humvee), Skydive and renting a Vette for a day and driving out to the Hoover Dam and then through the Valley of Fire state park.

Drive a NASCAR at the speedway, or a passenger ride if you prefer

Speed boat hire on Lake Mead. IIRC there's a few places just off the I93 where you can get a boat and spend a day on the water including taking a look at the Hoover Dam. We did it a few years ago, great experience if you plan it well (tinnies, food etc).

If you fancy driving some supercars then head to the Fashion Show Mall across from the Palazzo - although we didn't do it in the end, the guy offered us an excellent discount and I think it was around £200 for a total of 1hr driving time in cars like ferraris and the R8 - they are voted no.1 on Trip Advisor I believe also.

I'd be very tempted by the nascar/indycar drives though. Drivepetty is the main one i think?

I watched the bellagio fountains for hours. The $20 trick got me a room overlooking them wink They are mesmerising and brilliant.

I was there at the start of the month....hired a Challenger RT from Hertz, went to 'coffee and 'cars' on a Saturday morning (Google it) and made some new friends. Seen some unbelievably cool cars!

Vegas extreme skydiving biggrin

It was just epic epic epic. Best thing ever. 20mins from the strip and they pick you up from the MGM grand.

Why would you want to rent a car then go to a car meet?
Hired the car for 12 days (was driving to San Diego), wanted to go to the car meet..... Seemed silly walking 14 miles when I had a car that I hired. So I drove there!
