About to embark on a 5 day stag do, never been before and don't know what to expect price wise. Any recommendation for clubs/bars/restaurants/general tips?

I fly in about 6 hours!

Edit: We're staying fairly central.

Plenty of good bars and restaurants.

Check your bills carefully, some places have a tendency to add items 'in error'. They will be very apologetic, IF you notice.

Yeah I thought five was rather excessive, but who am I to complain? Should be eventful nonetheless..

Plenty of things to see & do but out of everything I'd really recommend going caving and the thermal baths.

The city is covered with ruin bars where old derelict buildings have been turned into bars/hostels. Cheap and great variety of styles atmospheres. There is one on the roof of an old department store, one on a boat on the river, one with old trabants as booths. Have a read up on them before you go and get a map printed of where they are as can be tricky to bump into as it's a fairly built up city centrally.
Lots of cheap food to eat. A lot of small cafes will do a daily menu for lunch which is generally a huge portion for not much money. In the evening there are load of food places, but again there are huge areas to walk with nothing in. There is a street called Raday which has load of food places on and some bars. It's quite close to Petofi bridge where the ruin boat club is.

It's a fantastic city. We stayed at the Buddha Bar hotel. The Buddha Bar itself is a great place to chill out, drink cocktails and listen to chill DJ's. The food and atmosphere in the restaraunt is great too. There's plenty of cheaper characterful bars though.

Definately wander into the historic Buda over the bridge. It's a beautiful contrast to the bright lights big city side. The Fisherman's Bastion is a fantastic place to walk around.

My mate did the Celeritas Shooting Club. He said it was a brilliant experience and really good value compared to others he's done. Might not be the most politically correct activity after recent events in the US.

Go to Dokk beach (it's a club, not a beach). Your jaw will drop to the ground...
