I am going to Sardinia in May with the family and was planning on hiring a car for a couple of days, preferably something roofless. We are based near Alghero in the North of the island. The car needs to have room for 2 small. Gilders in the back.

I found this company that had a Jeep Wrangler which looked ideal, but they no longer list it on their website:
http://www.autonoleggiosardinya.com

I then found this company who also list one, but they are at the wrong end of the island so no good:
http://www.autonoleggiomatta.it/en/

Currently the best I can come up with is a Peugeot 308 Cabrio from this company:

That doesn't really float my boat, does anyone know of any more interesting options that don't cost stupid money?

TS,

Six of us (three couples) went to Sardinia in May this year for a week. We were based in Alghero at the Carlos V Hotel, excellent hotel by the way.

We pre-hired from the UK a seven seater Renault people carrier for five days. The firm we used was Auto Europe which has an office in central Alghero. Their service was very good although the price was quite high.

If you need any information on Sardina based on our experience…..where to go in the north, restaurants etc…...just ask.

R.
