London... it's a bit big... need help!

To all those advising staying in a hotel in Covent Garden / Holborn ? I cannot think of a worse place to stay. Overpriced tourist traps.

Come off it. Westminster isn't exactly far from Covent Garden by tube, cab, or even walking.
