Anybody recently flown Aeroflot ? Seen a keenly priced flight from Bangkok to UK but wondered what they were like ?

Get drunk and you wont care what the flight is like.
That's what the pilots do.

Way, way better than they used to be - they have a young, modern Airbus/Boeing fleet, have won loads of awards of late, and have achieved latest safety audits/ISO/etc easily. Just a normal international airline nowadays.

Whilst that's obviously a good thing, I do look back at my flights into/out of St Pete and Moscow back in the day when the planes were rusty, leaky, service was abysmal, and I even recall once flying without seat belts in 'Business'. Crazy at the time, but all part of the fun.

given the average Russian that comes to Thailand that should be an interesting flight ... hehe

Although to be fair most of them are shipped in by Illysian (sp) to the old airbase at Jomtien

can't comment on modern Aeroflot but have had some interesting flights in the past !!

I've been gold card on Aeroflot for a number of years. The Russians I know tell me to fly international with Aeroflot as their fleet is pretty new, but not to use them for internal flights on the old Tupelov (Sp) planes.

I've never had a problem with them, although sometimes the food might not be amazing.

I remeber flying the same route around '96. As a kid, it was great fun.

Flew recently on their business class London - Armenia. I must say it was extremely good - customer service was great and selection of drinks/food good as well. There are better airlines but from what I have seen/heard in the past they have certainly upped their game.
