Weekend away - Midlands / South

Hi there,

I'm after some recommendations for a nice weekend away with the new Mrs! I was looking at Bath however on the weekend (Oct 24 - 26) there is a huge rugby game on which means everywhere is booked up and expensive.

Does anyone have ant recommendations for a fancy hotel that is near a city, but also has a half decent spa on it? She's coming from Manchester and I'll be coming from near Guildford / Woking.

Can stretch to about £350 for the two nights.

Hoar Cross Hall Hotel/Spa in Staffordshire. They have rooms with hot tubs on terrace .
