We are going to Disneyland over the half term and would like to spend at least a day in Paris itself.

I have been tasked with sorting the Louvre and the Eiffel Tower. It's already too late for advance tickets so there will inevitably be queuing. Does anyone have any advice? I've not been to Paris before so even the logistics of getting to the two landmarks isn't clear. Is it possible to do this in a day?

I took the car in and had no problem parking at the Louvre or near the Eifel Tower

Queues for the Tower were beyond obscene though, so had to make do with looking up at it!

Thanks, I heard that the best chance is to get to the tower before 9am.

Where did you park?

12 Place Joffre 75007 Paris

Or at least the car park that appears on Google maps at that address!

Little stroll through the Champ des Mars up to the tower, and lots of photo opportunities

We went last year, between Xmas and New Year. 2 of us with our 2 year old daughter. Stayed in Paris, but went out to Eurodisney for the day. We walked from Eiffel Tower down to the Louvre along the Seine and then down the Champs Elysee (huge Xmas Market was on). If your staying at Eurodisney, I would get the train into central Paris. It wasn't expensive and took about 45-50 mins, it was a double decker train.
