Tabac xl is the place to go. What ever smokes you buy you get free chocolates and beers/soft drinks. The prices are very similar to to the other shops. Best prices are in pounds though as previously said.

I live on the outskirts of Maidstone.

I can do a round trip, using the tunnel, of six hours. Midweek day return can be had for around £55.

Even cheaper on a motorbike! Had a return day/overnight trip for £29 last year.

I wonder how much I could get in my BMW 1200 GS Adventure panniers and top box...

I can tell you this exactly! On the way back from the Elefant Rally we stopped in Luxembourg and my mate got (in addition to a weeks worth of camping gear etc) 11,000 (eleven thousand) fags onto his 1150GS.

He got pulled by customs in Hull but just had to sign a declaration that they were for personal use.

Still good money to be made from doing this. The trick is not to be "bullied" by the customs people .

But don't Buy a lot unless you can sell it quickly . Not worth doing it to sell a pack or two a day !

Or you can fk off into the hole you came from and stop trying to arrest people for buying stuff cheaper in the EU which is part of the European Union, i.e. a legal and welcome union.
