Morning all,

My dear OH has booked flights to Zurich for our break in St Moritz without checking connections. She's now objecting to the prospect of a 4hr train connection and would prefer to go by bus. Can anyone recommend a bus connection please, or are we stuck with getting a train?

Thanks.

As above.

Not to St Moritz but we've done taken the Train from Zurich to St Anton and it's 2 hours 20.

Really can't do the coach transfers :shivers: do it for Whistler but for Europe gimme a train already!! smile

Cheers,

I live in Zurich and make a few trips to St Moritz every year. Always go by train. I can't imagine why you would want to go by bus and don't even know if it's even possible.

Swiss trains are clean, punctual and connect well with one another.

From the airport it's a 10 minute ride into the main station. From there you will catch a train for just over an hour to Chur. The final leg is about 2 hours on the Glacier Express. The scenery is absolutely stunning (UNESCO world heritage site). I'd recommend upgrading to a 1st class panorama carriage for that leg. The carriages look like this

You can obviously stretch your legs and there should be a restaurant car or at least a trolley on board.
Broken down into the shorter segments and with the scenery the time will fly by.

Brilliant, thanks chaps. That panoramic carriage looks well worth the upgrade, thanks for the tip.
