Bruges Hotel Recommendation

Could anyone recommend a middle of the road city centre hotel in Bruges? Trying to help a mate who has a hot date.

Close to Hotel Navarra is Hotel Aragon - I stayed there a couple of months ago with the Misses.

Calls itself 4 star - hotel rooms in Bruges aren't huge but this was comfortable enough and modern & clean. I'd give it 3 1/2 stars, which might fit your requirement of "middle of the road". Also has it's own pre-bookable private parking, which was important for me. Parking can be scarce in Bruges. It did lack a proper bar though.

Both hotels mentioned are nice and close to the centre and all the attractions.
Really though, there are loads of hotels in Bruges to choose from. Depends on budget and availability. I found our place by searching Booking.com

Hotel De Tuilerieen, stayed a few years ago and ended up with a suite. Had a great weekend there, beautiful hotel and superb service. Breakfast was very good and the location is spot on. Would happy return at any time. Though, standard prices are quite steep now, unless you get a late deal, which can be quite good out of peak times.

The Novotel is very pleasent, if a little sterile. Underground parking underneath too.
