Have to have this rant to make me feel better, arrived at airport told plane delayed 45 min in orlando due to tech prob, put us on plane 1houre late, then once on the plane, told there is still a tech fault, now sitting on plane for another 2 hours delay. These airlines are all the same, st, 3500 pounds to be fkd about and delayed, how is it that all his co are seem to be ran by morrons, trains, planes, even his space craft is non flight worthy, rant over but still feel really pissed

Virgin's planes are mainly old and the product is tired, in my view. While it was a market leader five or ten years ago, now the narrow cramped herringbone configuration is nothing special. The lounge at Heathrow and a true fast track are still excellent but the planes themselves don't compare with a 380 from Singspore airlines or even BA. Hope you get back safely.

Maybe they should just let it take off and take your chances...?

Personally I prefer flying on a plane without tech faults, but hey I've always been a fussy bugger

Whilst you are waiting in the freezing cold at Tamworth for the inevitably delayed 0648 Virgin train to get you to London to do a full day's work in your slave box cubicle before repeating the hell of the journey on the way home just to earn enough to pay the mortgage (to virgin bank natch) on your suburban slave box house and your taxes, just remember that Branson is lying under a coconut tree on his private desert island

It's got to be much nicer hanging around in Upper than in Economy.

Plus you're getting more value from it as you'll be on the plane longer. smile

Let me see if I understand this - you are in Upper Class - with a full length reclining seat - hot and cold stewardesses attending to your every reasonable need - and yet you are ranting that they have the audacity to keep you waiting while they ensure the aircraft is fit to fly.

Did you tell them who you were?

Jeez. Who would want to work with the public?

This all day.

They say money doesn't buy class. In the OP's case I'd add intelegence to that quote.

Because a well maintained machine like say a car never goes wrong does it? A plane being a tad more complex and being 7 miles up in the air, personally I'd rather wait until it was spot on.

Jesus get over it and enjoy the complimentary booze and food.

If that was true you'd be in Economy.

First time I used PE from MCO was in one of the Airbus's they were using on that route for a while and it was terrible. I think the fact that you're paying more magnifies the problems. Complained to Virgin and they didn't give a toss (didn't even reply until I posted on their Facebook page).

Better to be on the ground wanting to get in the air than to be in the air and praying you make it safely back to earth.

Start drinking, might mellow you out a little. Things go wrong, the crew can't help that. Watch a film? Read a newspaper? Chat to another human?
