I am booked to go away to Barcelona with the gf for 2 nights in a couple of weeks.

Short of watching out for pick pockets can anyone recommend the must see places and things to do?

Is there a recommendation for a fancy/upmarket restaurant to go to on either the Friday or Saturday night?

The hop on off bus tour was good,
I enjoyed the Olympic stadium and the cathedral is remarkable
parking is spendy and they seem very quick to tow any vehicle parked illegally.
Food places are plentiful.
Los rambles pick pocket central!

I've answered these questions many times, but one link is above.

Aqua is pretty good on the beach for food for a nice meal, but the best tapas is Paco Meralgo which is better than Catalana

Great shout on Paco Meralgo.. many thanks for the recommendation. I was there last week and had a great meal. Also went to another lovely tapas place called Elsa Y Fred.
