Anything good to do this time of year on Jersey? Will also post query on best places to eat in Food and Drink section but if you have any ideas then please post here on all Jersey related 'good things to see and do'. We are not particularly fond of just walking for the sake of walking and will have an hire car for so can pretty much get anywhere.

Cheers chaps etc!

Yes.

Catch the first plane/boat to Guernsey. biggrin

We have a friendly rivelry with them.

Jump in a hire car and just get lost. There are some really pretty areas and beaches. The foods rather good too.

It's blocked at work so I can't link to it, but Jersey has a nice vineyard. You can have a walk in the vineyards to see where the grapes are grown, have a small tour of the pressing and fermenting facilities, and there's quite a nice little restaurant where you can try a few wines with a nice lunch.

There are quite a few WWII relics to look at - the underground hospital has some nice exhibits in it.

Another yes to the vineyard, also the Gerald Durrell zoo is well worth a look - it's not a zoo in the conventional sense, and I have taken hardened sceptics there who have really enjoyed it. If you are at all interested in flowers there is a lovely orchid centre, (Eric someone or other). As Rob says there is masses of WW2 stuff, and Gorey Castle is worth a look, as well as the one out on the coast from St Helier.

A day trip to Guernsey is quite nice though I find Guernsey a bit dull, though very pretty.

yes I'd forgotten about the zoo - it's well worth a visit and is one of the best I've been to.

Thank you all. I will certainly have a look at visiting Gerald Durrell's zoo. Many have said how good it is.

A trip to Sark too,the only island where cars are banned. Horse and cart or tractor is your transport.
