Lake Maggiore/Milan Car Hire

Ditching the kids and heading to the Italian Lakes at the beginning of the summer. Flying into Milan and looking to hire something interesting to drive; is it going to be possible to get something exciting or will we be stuck with the usual hire car dross? Found a convertible A3 for around £300 for 5 days but any advance on that would be greatly appreciated. Don’t mind paying more for the right car.

On the Hertz site, look at "fun collection". They used to have The Lotus Elise on fleet, but when I rented out of Linate last month they implied these are off fleet now.
