Wondering if any frequent Paris visitors can assist guys.
I have a one night stay in Paris in august and need to book a hotel for a saturday night..I have a Eurostar home at 4pm sunday.

Do you have any suitable Hotels and what sites do you use to book your stays in Paris or do you go direct to the Hotels?

I would suggest the Golden Hotel near Gare du Nord.

It was comfortable, well priced and about 10 mins from the station, so you can easily leave your bags there on Sunday and pop back to collect them before you head home. It's also close to Cadet metro station, so you can get around relatively easily.

Bit more into town, I also stayed at the Atala just of the Champs Elysee, which was a bit nicer, quite a lot more expensive but in a cracking location. It is however some distance from Gare du Nord, should you need to pick luggage up enroute.

Can't remember about the weekend, but during the week, traffic is a pig in Paris and so I always use the metro where possible, as it works out far far cheaper and often quicker too.

Have stayed at the Mercure Eiffel Tower.
Not spectacularly unique but comfortable and reliable, and as the name suggests, it's near the Tower which, if you pick the right room, fills the view out the window.

I've also stayed there and would reccomend it.

OP - what is your budget?
