Ten places in England you would recommend to visit....
Discussion
My choices to return to or recommend a visit are (England only as requested)
Matlock Bath and really can't go wrong with most of the Peak District
Norfolk, the North Norfolk coast is worth a look and Norwich , not too far out is also the Norfolk Broards.
Northumberland, Alnwick, Cragside , Bamber Castle, Bewick and Newcastle upon Tyne has lots to see.
Yorkshire, my advice is follow your nose as the weather will dictate the day's activities. But have been to Harrogate and Malam Cove in the snow and that made it great fun. Whitby and Robinhood bay are quaint.
The Cotswolds, Clarkson country, 'picturesque'' Bucolic pretty.
New Forrest Hampshire.
Lake District, same advice as Yorkshire.
Kent, Tunbridge Wells area is a good base to strike out and visit places of interest then a drive into London. I agree with an earlier poster that It depends on where you stay to soften London.
