Either because they are rather quaint or rather unusual, one way or another.....

Probably easier to "Google" them for an idea of what to expect....

Dent, Cumbria.

Dungeness.

Snowshill Manor, Cotswolds.

Lower Slaughter, Cotswolds.

Crich tramway museum.

Cragside, Northumberland.

Lindisfarne castle, Holy Island.

Minack theatre, Cornwall

The Morgan car factory, Malvern Link.

A day trip along The Manchester ship canal.

Any more?

Top of my head, no particular order

-Whitby. Stop somewhere with a view of the Abbey. Have a wander round the port, fish and chips, then a wander to Robin Hood's Bay
-Brighton. Anywhere near the pier, Choccywoccydoodah for cake
-Bath. The spa, in summer, top pool outdoors, watch the air balloons while in the jacuzzi
-Stonehenge. Rocks n'st
-London. To make sure you've seen it and dont feel the need to go back. A soul destroying place
-Matlock Bath. Promenade without the sea, fish and chips and a walk

Is this just restricted to England....or the UK? If UK then:

Scafell in the Lake District
Bury St Edmunds
Bourton on the Water
Portmeirion
Coniston
Edinburgh
York
Wells-next-the-Sea
St Ives
Snowdonia

I love all of these places.

Any of the ten roads leading out of Sunderland are always good to see. (Nb, there might be more than ten roads, but I'm compiling with the thread smile )

The three peaks, Ingleborough, Pen-y-Ghent and Whernside. Stay somewhere like Austwick (the Traddock is good).

The roads are fabulous. The walking is challenging enough and the vistas are spectacular.

Dorset - Jurassic Coast. Lulworth Cove and Durdle Door are 2 favourites.
Peak District National Park
Inverness - the drive to Skye is magical, and the drive down Loch Ness to Fort William isn't bad either.
Edinburgh - as cities go, its one I always enjoy.

Corfe Castle should be on any list, and Pemberley in Derbyshire too.

Matlock bath. Some awesome roads all around, and quality fish and chips when you get there.

Corfe Castle, yes - definitely on the "while in Dorset, go to..." list.

Actually I'd add Haynes Motor Museum just over the border in Somerset too.
