have anyone booked a hoilday using one of these?
Discussion
Have used Easyjet holidays. They are a subsidiary of the airline in partnership with Lowcostbeds. Easyjet get you there and lowcost do the accommodation and transfers.
The only major problem we have had over the past four years for our annual trip to Cyprus was a 24 hour delay on a return flight due to a mechanical incident (aircraft don't carry spare tyres) but they put us up for the night.
Flight is usual cattle class but you can book extra leg room up to 30 days prior to departure. They seem to keep changing their website and method of booking each year (as they seem to be searching for the best marketing aspects to maximise margins) and last year our luggage was included and this year it t is extra. In fact everything is extra but that is the nature of the beast - low basic price with lots of "necessary" extras that come as standard on, say, BA but if you want BA service you have to pay BA prices.
Everything seems to run fairly smoothly and providing you read the booking site carefully all should be OK. Having said that I did have problems last year when the site crashed mid way through confirming my reservation and emailing for help just brought a standard response on the first couple of attempts. All sorted eventually.
Can't be all that bad as we keep using them.

Travel republic
Booked 2 weeks hotel in Florida last year through Travel Republic, was wary myself as they can often be much cheaper than competitors - suspiciously so - but all went well and I have used them again to book for later this year. The only thing I'd say is if you have to make changes as I did, they are just the booking agent and just passed on my query down the line and it took a bit of chasing to get things sorted out, but no real hassle.

Tavelrepulic everytime for me. I have been using them for the last 5 years for myself and family. Always seem to be the cheapest and not had any problems in any of the holidays I've had.
They were terrible for us, I wont use them again, ruined our holiday and took the pissGassing Station | Holidays & Travel | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
