Hello all, could you offer some advice on the above?

How much snow is at the top? Will crampons be needed?
I have climbed it before but this was in August and there was very little snow.

Any advice appreciated.

I climbed it in June via the tourist path, really hot day and no snow at the top.

If you're going up the tourist path I doubt you'll need crampons even if there is snow on the top. The path leads onto the summit plateau which is fairly level but rocky.

Usual disclaimers apply - make sure you know how to use a map and compass, turn back if the weather isn't favourable etc.

We'll go via Arete again.
We are sensible in an equipment sense so no need to worry about that.

We've just come back from Dumfries and these was still snow on some hills so it's fair to expect some on the top of Ben Nevis in a few weeks.

I was up in the Highlands last week and there was still snow on the top of the mountains - we got snowed on driving up Belach Na Ba!

Plenty of snow around the Nevis area if you look in the right place, plus some pretty mahoosive cornices which will be weakening nicely over the next few weeks.

People die every year by underestimating the Scottish mountains, so be careful up there.
