Ben Nevis in early May
Discussion
I climbed it in June via the tourist path, really hot day and no snow at the top.
If you're going up the tourist path I doubt you'll need crampons even if there is snow on the top. The path leads onto the summit plateau which is fairly level but rocky.
Usual disclaimers apply - make sure you know how to use a map and compass, turn back if the weather isn't favourable etc.

We'll go via Arete again. If you're going up the tourist path I doubt you'll need crampons even if there is snow on the top. The path leads onto the summit plateau which is fairly level but rocky.

We are sensible in an equipment sense so no need to worry about that.
Did you ever make it up? Still pretty wintry right now!
