Arrived at the hotel 10:30 this morning. straight to my room, shower and bed.
Set my alarm for 2:00pm so that I could use the Spa.

Just helped my son move back 'up north' from London, tons of garden labour work for my wife,(water fall feature) and then moved apartments in Germany Saturday before coming flying here.
My body is aching from head to toe.

Spa....full body Burmese muscle repair massage. Fantastic.
Two hours later in the Exec lounge, I cant stand up laugh I'll have to stay for a couple more pain killing gins smile
Lovely sunset over Hussain Sugar Lake.

Flying back from NY tonight. Hoping I've set myself up to avoid jet lag... flight at 18:30 local time, land at 06:45. Strong sleeping pill at the ready.

Hopefully I don't wake up dead from DVT when I land.

I don't dislikes air travellig but starting now from TRN with its tiny airport the number of connecting flights to FRA or MUC or the 1h30 drive to MXP is annoying. Since last summer I have been for generally 2 weeks 3 times in India, 3 in Brazil, 5 in Russia while I don't count the 1-2 days trips in Europe, I believe 2 dozens in Germany, Spain, France, Belgium, Sweeden and Poland.

Well my plane's gone tech at Heathrow, so decant to a new aircraft, 3 hour delay, and a missed onward connection in New York. So now I have to find a hotel so I can sleep and shower between landing at 2am and getting on the next connection at 8am.

Joy.

UK-US + US domestic last week. 3 domestic legs on this week including to Phoenix, which is 44C at the moment (loads of beer on the expenses then!), then another US Domestic and US-UK to get home, which is good as want to go ride my motorbike and BBQ if summer hasn't decided to finish for the year.

Tomorrow daily trip from Turin to Antwerp, but the flight boards at 6.00 at MXP, so I will get up at 3.00 and I will be back home at midnight, 21 hours long day.

From what I hear on the phone calls home, summer hasn't actually got started just yet.

3 months ago BA tier points were zero. One more return long-haul (outbound tomorrow morning) and I'll have met my Gold again. Mildly depressing.

Heading home later today, after a 9 day trip to Caracas. Inflation is astronomical, and everything is a mad price due to shortages. There are differing exchange rates, the only one worth using is the balck market one somewhere near 800Bs/ £ the official Government rate is around 10Bs/ £ a HUGE difference.

We had to buy car battery to run some kit, how does the equivalent of £3,500 grab you for a 12volt, 55Ah battery ?

Madness, and worst of all, the country has run out ouf Beer !
