I'm cycling to Paris later this week for charity,I'm sure some time will be required for liquid refreshments etc afterwards.

Having never been before and having a day to kill before Eurostar back..can anybody offer any advice as to where not to pay through the nose for a good Biere.

What's the general euro price for a pint around town..any decent establishments and where to go to kill time.

Cheers guys.

I live just outside Paris and am still looking for somewhere that meets your criteria. If you're cycling the normal route to Paris then can I recommend the Bijou Bar in Conflans? A great little bar/restaurant with an impressive selection of draught beers and huge bottled collection, run by Franck, a man who really knows his good food and how to run a cellar. Conflans itslef is a nice little town on the river. Try the salami (that you cut yourself) with a good beer. It might be worth ringing to check opening hours if you decide to go there as this is August in France and a lot of places outsider the tourist centre of Paris close. www.bijou-bar.net/
