Outstanding 3 or 4 Day Break Required
Discussion
Another request to PH travel agents!
My inlaws are celebrating big birthdays and a big anniversary next September 2016.
We are planning to do something very very special.
They have travelled the world so I doubt we will find somewhere they haven't got some experience of but they haven't stayed in every hotel! BiL lives in New York so we've all done that to death and with us looking for 3 or 4 nights, long haul is perhaps not ideal.
I like the idea of Ireland and we have found this hotel http://www.harveyspoint.com which not only looks smart but they also arrange all your day time activities which prevents us sitting in a day room smiling and nodding at each other all day.
Any recommendations of outstanding hotels anywhere within a couple of hours flight away with the cost not an issue (gulp!) would be welcome.

Harvey's Point is ok, I've been there once but it isn't a show stopper. The rooms are big but the dining room at breakfast was a bit of a shambles. My inlaws are celebrating big birthdays and a big anniversary next September 2016.

A couple of mins down the road is the Lough Eske Resort which is much swankier http://www.solishotels.com/lougheskecastle/
Perhaps the most reknowned of the Irish flash hotels is Ashford Castle, anybody who is somebody goes there at some point. http://www.ashfordcastle.com
Still, I'd prefer the grandeur of Lake Como posted above

Came on to post Lough Eske. Nice spot and, as mentioned, much more fancy.A couple of mins down the road is the Lough Eske Resort which is much swankier http://www.solishotels.com/lougheskecastle/

Best hotel I've stayed in in the last couple of years is Brenner's Park in Baden Baden. If you want outstanding, look no further. http://www.brenners.com/eng/home/
