Tell me the best 'All-Inclusive' holiday you've been on

Well, having said 'never again' earlier in the thread, as the days wore on I weakened and really fancied a week away in the sun with the missus. This would be the first time we were able to go away without kids for the last twenty years!!!
I bit the bullet and booked a week AI in Kos, as I could not believe how cheap it is when you don't have to go during the school holidays!
We've just got back, the food in the Hotel was lousy, to compensate for that we drank our own body weight in booze every day, but everything else was fantastic, absolutely fantastic. Hiring a Mario Kart for the week may have helped.

Well, as an avid hater of AI holidays, I've just booked this for next May, 9 days AI, it looked cooler that then one up there ^^

Yeah, it was utter cack.
Hence I'm about to book another one for next spring, Crete this time. It's just so bloody cheap, €1500 for a week AI for the two of us in this dump by the beach.

Is that including flights Adenauer? Sounds cheap as fk if it is.
Yep, and not even Ryanair flights, just normal carriers and also at decent times, not 3am take off or any of that nonsense. Flights, transfer, food, booze, all in, and I have yet to find a bad report about the place on Trip Advisor, looks bloody ace.
See if this link works, I used the ADAC site but you get the jist.

That white grand palace up there is costing me €2K for 9 days AI with a superior sea view room, admittedly without kids but your price seems mad!
What would that place be for 2 weeks 6/8 - for 2 adults and 2 kids all inc and upgraded room. Just so it's apples v apples. Edited by Adenauer on Wednesday 30th September 07:53

Just looked and over night stay there would be £100 and flights are £100, so I get an extra stop over, 2 extra days and still save £400 over the price we are charged in the UK.

Welsh - don't you have grand parents to foist the little bds on? Or send them to summer camp ffs.
We do but wouldn't even dream about it - 1/2weeks away from our young children no thank you. I understand some people do choose to do that but I'd say if they are under 8-10 it's really not cricket. You choose to have children with the joy and work that entails then swanky off and leave them with others. Not great IMHO but each to their own. (Ditto for those who have boarding private school dumping kids on others over taking responsibility). Heck as is with work for me & the kids bedtime I've actually not seen them since last Wednesday. So to even consider a holiday without them would never cross my mind.

My Parents have just returned from here - Grand Bahia Principe Tulum in Mexico.
They have travelled a lot, and regular AI, they say this is superior to most including sandals!
They couldn't believe how good it was for the price, they say the food is the highlight!
Funnily enough, my folks went there this year and also raved about it - and they are 4/5 times a year AI travellers. They have travelled a lot, and regular AI, they say this is superior to most including sandals!

Possible looking at this hotel next year buy can't work it out. I've stayed at 3 other hotels in the Riviera Maya with my brother and off again next month but as I'm going with the mrs next year I'd like somewhere new for us both.
i know this thread is a bit old, but in the name of continuity i just wanted to say that i booked Insotel Cala Mandia in Majorca after seeing WelshBeefs recommendation here (and a decent set of trip advisor reviews). I've literally come back from the week and wanted to back up WelshBeefs experience, very nice place, friendly staff, well catered for kids and decent AI food buffet - in fact probably the best european AI buffet i've been to for quality and variety, only beaten by the vegas hotels and moon palace in Cancun. Hotel, pool and grounds are very clean and tidy, great bar service, mostly branded drinks i.e. Disarono, havana club, Gordons gin etc, no proper cocktails thats the only caveat here. Snacks and ice creams available all day, and a proper coffea machine in the bar rather than the rank stuff that comes out of the buffet dispensers!
downsides are that its busy (this is only a reflection on how good it is), this is not a quiet week away, there are kids everywhere, i wouldn't entertain going without a young family even to the Adults only section, you still need to deal with the masses at the buffet, lots of kids, annoying germans, i wouldn't go here for my tenth wedding anniversary (without my daughter) thats for sure! i was expecting this so not an issue, i also booked a swim-up room to avoid the pool sun lounger mele, towels were going down at 6:20am FFS.
i'm looking at the sister hotel in ibiza for next year, oh and book direct with ryanair flights, its cheaper and much better flight times, from the midlands anyway.
