Doing Thailand in March as the big holiday next year after much pressure from the missus, but either end of 2016 or beginning of 2017 we will be going back to Mexico for a week.
I really enjoyed Thailand after years of being put off. One place where AI would be pointless, dirt cheap to eat and drink out if you can't be arsed the hotels have to compete with the locals so weren't over priced at all.

Cancun - Secrets Vine Resort & Spa

Totally changed my view of all inclusive holidays.

True 24 hour any food/drink service.

Want a fillet steak, 6 corona and an 18 YO Laphroaig to your room at 4am, no problem sir.
Having said I'm never doing all inclusive again, that sounds and looks lovely, the proper way to do it.

Now that the kids no longer want to drain my wallet and come with us on holiday, I could do that ^^ for two weeks with the missus for the same price as two weeks in Florida with the kids. Hmmm scratchchin
Keep an eye on holidaypirates and you will get it a LOT cheaper than that. How does just over £600 sound for a week? smilehttp://www.holidaypirates.com/holidaypackages/7-ni...

I've spent that on a big night out in town! Crazy prices considering what you get!

My Parents have just returned from here - Grand Bahia Principe Tulum in Mexico.

They have travelled a lot, and regular AI, they say this is superior to most including sandals!

They couldn't believe how good it was for the price, they say the food is the highlight!

Yeah, we are doing three weeks - one with her parents at a villa and she is adamant we will be doing it for under £1500 for both spending money. Seems like the flights are going to be the most expensive thing!

Funnily enough, my folks went there this year and also raved about it - and they are 4/5 times a year AI travellers.

My father has very high standards so I was surprised when he returned raving about it!

Looks very good value for money!

We stayed in one of their places in the Dominican for a friends 50th in May, very impressed with it and looking to return next year, on the whole I've found most european AI aren't a patch on the longer haul locations.

3 favourites for me:-

Longitude 131 which overlooks Uluru

Ulusaba in South Africa

Kasbah Tamedot in the Atlas Moutains, although not completely AI as you have to pay for some booze

Sandals and Beaches for me, you just cant fault the service, drinks and facilities.

the all inclusive scuba is just amazing, we manage around 20 dives in a 2 week period, when we went to mexico dives were $50 each.

Sandals, this is where we are off to! If the reality is as good as the reviews it won't be the last time we go either. The idea of 8 or 9 proper restaurants, proper drinks, no kids, free diving, etc., etc is very attractive.

We spent around #300/day diving in Oz at Christmas so this we'll get a far part of the cost covered from diving alone..

It is, it's just an example as i couldn't be bothered searching through them all.

I've got a bit more time today so here's an up to date one - http://www.holidaypirates.com/holidaypackages/amaz...

Holidaypirates is quite random so you need to keep an eye on it to get the best deals.

Amazing, when they say all inclusive they mean it.

Couldn't fault it and will be going again.
But.....really? The drinks, ok, they're reasonable but I would hardly say it was amazing.
You had to pay a tray change for delivery of food to your room, plus the food in all restaurants was poor.

We went to the Grande St Lucian and for a resort on a tropical island, most of their food was cooked from FROZEN, even fish! Dreadful, you could easily taste it was frozen and nasty for what you're paying for. After the 1st week, we'd had enough and went out for dinner every night.

Constant up-selling everywhere, trying to get you to buy stuff. Want the nice photo we've just taken of you? Sure, that'll be $15. Want wifi? Sure, that'll be $10 per day. Want to eat in our nice restaurant that serves decent food? Sure, that'll be $100pp. Want to eat our normal crap food, but on the beach with a million other people? Sure, that'll be $50pp. Want a massage? Sure, you can pay for the massage, oh and dont forget the 12.5% service charge on top!

Rant over.

Best all inclusive, the Maritim in Mauritius - simply stunning. Everything included, no hidden fees, made to feel special and not just "another customer"

We will never, ever, go to another Sandals again.

Don't you find Sandals just too big and as such loses the personal touch.

I recall flying over Sandals in Antigua and in the vast pool SANDALS written you could only view that from the plane..

No kids - well that's us out of there for 20 years frown.
