Sixt were only advertising the V6 Camaro, only £200 for the 5 days I'm down there though.
I did think about a big yank truck. Once I've paid the 964 off, I can see a Dodge Ram or an F150 making its way on to my drive to go along side it! If I can't get what I want with the Mustang or Camaro, will go for a pick up.
I think they have a mix of V6 and V8s in stock, and they all fall into the 'STAR' category (SIXT doesn't have a 'performance' collection), so just ask nicely when you collect.I did think about a big yank truck. Just thought I'd add that I have had the same experience with the Adrenaline Collection. Arrive and there are no Adrenaline cars despite pre-paying for one 6 months in advance.
We had an hour of arguing to get a vaguely decent car. Terrible customer service, will never use Hertz again.

Had a similar situation in LA last month,
Booked a road trip from LA to Vegas, 7 cars in the Mustang or similar category, paid for months in advance, we arrived at the rental desk for Dollar to collect our Mustangs to be told they don't have any in stock and we could have a Camaro each instead, No problem Mustang convertible/Camaro convertible...similar to us,
We go through all the paperwork, a couple of the cars add a Nav system, at this point we're all handed a bill for between $4-600 per car for upgrades, when challenged we're given the option to pay and sign the paperwork or to walk away with no car, absolutely shocking tactics and we'll never use Dollar again, currently awaiting a response from their complaints department
