To add - Old Nice is ok. Go to the old town for "Socca".

Roads on the coast are pretty awful, head into the mountains (Monte Carlo rally).

Grasse is nice.
Col de Turini was amazing and so much quieter than the Stelvio Pass ... Not too far from Monaco either!

+1

Route Napoleon is a divine piece of tarmac which seems to go on forever! (Better on two wheels, though!)

Hi, myself and a few friends are going to drive from Teesside to Monaco in April 2016 and I'm after any recommendations / do's / dont's from those of you that have driven around France.

Many thanks in advance
European Breakdown - Check what you are covered for and what you are not. I broke down, told they would not repatriate the car if it was not fixable but luckily it was....

Spare Oil, Coolant + Petrol - When I drove down I remember that many of the service petrol stations at night just took card off the highway, not the most convenient if low on oil.

DSLR Camera - Some incredible views on the mountain roads!
