I'll be frank.. money's tight. Any recommendations?
Me, wife, and the 3 kids (2,4,7 in Summer). A pool & family friendly, half board I reckon would be wise.
Cheers !

Last year we drove to Eurocamp in France & all in the week cost us near £2,000 somehow. Less than that.

That Eurocamp you went to... Did you google them and check prices if booking directly? Not all places will allow direct booking as not privately owned, but many do...

Place we stayed at last year was £2,700 with Eurocamp. Booking directly was €2,000 (about £1,475). Yes you don't get the childrens holiday club

The way I do it is to find the cheapest flights. This is usually to Spain.
The cheapest airline I could find was Vueling, to Barcelona. This gets you all, physically, to Spain.
Thereafter, I book a hire car, for a week then look for an apartment, as cheap as possible.
The downside, in the Summer, is that airlines are cheaper in the week and many apartment renters want to rent Saturday to Saturday, to maximise their income.
If you can get to Malaga, cheaply, the villas inland, around Alora, are remarkable value, often with their own pool.

This - we're renting a nice two bedroom apartment in Spain for a fortnight in August, and including flights (for three) we've paid less than £1000 in total for the holiday.

It's also worth seeing if you've got any loyalty points to help with flights - you can use Tesco Clubcard points for Monarch flights for instance, and Avios can work out quite cheap for certain routes.
