Koh Samui - Hotel
Discussion
Hi All,
I am currently in Koh Samui and staying in the Bhundhari hotel, which after day 2 and its not ideal due to hills getting to the room and general service of the hotel.
I dont suppose anyone knows of a decent hotel with the below criteria, as I need to check out of where we are:
- Near to Chaweng beach
- Wifi
- Ideally on the beach
- Ideally with a pool
- If none of the above a decent pool for the kids to play in (1 and 4)
- Decent service!
Not to fused on the cost element as would rather pay more and have a decent holiday than return home thinking what a s*** trip it was!
Cheers
Dafydd

I can't help with a hotel but I stayed here if you fancy a villa. On the beach, wi-fi and in between Chaweng and Lamai.

This was our villa but there are lots on site to suit.

You could try:-
Poppies ( a bit small and cramped)
Centara grand
Amari (might be closed for refurb)
If I were you, I would get down there, have a stroll up the beach and look at the hotels to see which takes your fancy. There are dozens and dozens to chose from.
best of luck.
Also, think about 5 minutes up the road at Choengmon.
Look at the Imperial Boat House. Kids will love the rice barge rooms.

I'm just back.
Getting hotels for the last week or so has been difficult and expensive. I think that it's because of chinese new year.
I've stayed at the anantara and a few others bit they're showing as full on expedia and agoda.
TripAdvisor is showing some availability at well rated hotels: https://www.tripadvisor.co.uk/SmartDeals-g676072-s...
I'd also check out Bo-phut - it's a 10 minute taxi. Beach less nice but the walkable 'Fishermans Village' makes up a little.

another vote for Amari or Kirikayan Boutique Resort
Kirikayan is cool, because they have one out further away, but they let you use the one in Chaweng as your base during the day if you want, rooms in the one Mae Nam are huge with a nice pool, then head down to their one on the beach. Or just stay there.
Make sure you eat at Ninja Crepes (strangely for thai food) in chaweng, and Cafe 69 in bophut.
Another cheaper option is OP bungalows, cheap, (though I think they have a couple of 'luxury' rooms) and right on the beach where breakers are so its totally calm.

Tongsai Bay was wonderful when we went .. But that was quite a few years ago now...and its 5* so likely expensive :-)
Not on Chaweng but it has its own private beach. Some rooms built into hillside also.
