In my experience the phone apps I have used can be pretty inaccurate when looking at the detailed stats such as slope angle and top speed etc. I think it's to do with how often the check their GPS location, which then depends on coverage and battery saving mode etc. However it's not super crazy speeds, so could well be correct in this case. (Probably me being a bit skeptical of the apps comes from the amount of average skiers saying they've done 60-70 degree slopes as proven on an app, when the slope is like 35-40deg max etc)!
Lol yes I'd say so.
On the speed front when I've been skiing before a friend claimed to have skied 55mph ish according to the app - which is way faster than I've ever gone 42mph. Anyway same resort same slope just shy of the 42mph I've done as a max before he was no quicker and following it stating how quick it felt and at times uncomfortably quick ... raises questions about the 55mph as that's a huge step on in similar conditions.

Just back in our hotel after a wee freeriding session in Bansko. Up high there is still plenty of snow and sunshine. Will be back for more tomorrow... Who said that spring skiing is not fun...
Make sure you go to Amigos for a late evening it's really good fun.
Happy End too straight from skiing is good.

We were there last weekend, it was our first time in Bansko, or Bulgaria. The runs are good and well maintained, just very limited in variety. We had the warmest conditions I've ever skied in, gondola station at Bankso by The Happy End was showing 27c last Saturday 25th! The Happy End was good, Amigo's was raucous and great value. The VIP Room at middle station was fabulous, and ridiculous value.

It was ideal for a long weekend, any more than that and you'd find it a bit 'Ground Hog Day'. I'd look forward to going back earlier in the season. As we were only skiing 3 days we didn't take our own skis. Next year I'll definitely take mine as the local kit is reasonably good but poorly prepared (no wax and blunt edges).
All up what was the 3 day cost?

Amigos band is very good.
