Nuclear or water supply?
Water supply. Re. Terrorism, think "cause" rather than "target".

Don't know what the lake is called but is it the one that feeds the instant on/off hydro electric power station where they pump the water back up during off peak times?

Nope, nothing to do with Dinorwig. But you're now in the correct county : Gwynedd.

No. As asked before it's water-supply-related, rather than energy.

Ah, I do now wink

Interesting.

Someone else will know the name as opposed to Google it as I had to do, I'm sure.

You're absolutely on the right track. If no-one comes up with a name (village, lake or river will do) this evening I'll pass it over to you.

You're literally just a handful of miles away, but the wrong lake. Bala Lake (Llyn Tegid) is natural, not a reservoir...

Ah, was thinking as level was raised up artificially for a better canal supply, by Telford I think, it might be classed as man made!

So is it Llyn Celyn, that is formed by a dam but must confess I had to look on a map!

It is indeed. The building is the memorial chapel for the lost village of Capel Celyn, one of the last Welsh-only speaking communities, drowned in 1965 when the Tryweryn Valley was flooded to form the Llyn Celyn reservoir, providing water to Liverpool.

This prompted the formation of Welsh nationalist organizations like MAC, responsible for arson/bombings in the 1960's. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mudiad_Amddiffyn_Cym...

The memorial chapel is a strange spot. It's well hidden from the road. No signs indicate it's presence, no 'interpretation boards' tell the story, just a grassy track heading towards the reservoir at one end of a layby, and the collection of rescued gravestones from the original chapel arranged behind it.

Kenty, Over to you...
