The sign is on the end, 2 km out to sea, there is also an sea bed viewing chamber which is very good.

'Seven Pillars....' is also the title of T E Lawrence's autobiography, so I'm going to guess a link and say Jordan (mostly because you are unlikely to have been to Syria recently...)?

Yes. Jordan. Wadi Rum, to be exact, after tea with the local police in their tent!

We've toured most of the relatively safe Middle East and come close to some hot spots. e.g. our whole family had tea in Cairo outside the main souk, just where it was bombed a little later. Armed guards on our boats or coaches in places were a bit unnerving to start with.

Anyway, over to you.
