Island of Tears is the monument in the middle ground and the ballet is behind the big building. I think the big building is just an apartment block, it wasn't particularly marked out on any maps.
I only had a day there because I was on a transit visa, and it was Independance Day so they were reluctant to give me a visa at all, but fancy a return trip for a proper look around.

Now the slightly more obscure bit - What's the name of the Pub that this was taken from?
Looks like Dunstanburgh Castle although I could easily be wrong. The only pub I could see the picture being taken from is the Inn at the harbour in Craster. Now the slightly more obscure bit - What's the name of the Pub that this was taken from?

Right castle and village. The pub's called the Jolly Fisherman. Better than the name suggests
To be fair, I lived in Newcastle for a few years so as soon as I saw the picture I said Northumberland. After that, it was just a case of remembering where I've been over the years. It's quite a distinctive part of the country.Gassing Station | Holidays & Travel | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
