Hi. Have a young family and early flight from Gatwick and would prefer to stay over the night before. Would like to do a hotel and parking combo. Looking for good facilities, restaurant on site, short transfers to/from and reasonable cost.

Any suggestions?
Thanks

I did this once many years ago - can't actually remember the name of the hotel. But based on that experience, one thing to check carefully is how much parking they actually have. Sounds slightly ironic given that they advertise that service, but obviously cars are stuck in their car park for quite some time. The car park was completely full when we arrived, and we ended up driving over a kerb to park on some grass. I don't think I'd do it again - especially not if it was a car I cared about - I'd rather stay in a hotel and use "normal" airport car parking, either at the airport or discount offsite.

Depends how much you value your car, I have stayed at the Bloc Hotel which is actually inside the South Terminal, for car parking I can recommend Garaged.com, he is a member on here and they have an excellent set up, taking good care of your car with discounts for Pistonhead members.(I have no affiliation with the company)

I stayed at the Bloc last month. It was great. The room was really cool and it was a 2 minutes walk to the security check in the morning

I normally stay at the Sofitel on a park and fly deal and take the daily driver car.

Premier Inn is absolutely fine. Quiet, clean, parking attached.

Just hope your flight doesn't return on a Friday afternoon. If it does, pack some serious supplies before you hit the M25. Took me 4 hours to get as far as the M4 last time...
