South of France Road Trip Wine Tour
Discussion
Wine that tastes great in SoF may not have the same properties after being bounced, shaken and jiggled over a 1,000 mile road trip and boiled in the high temperatures of an unattended car/boot. That Gevrey Chambertin that is like necter of the Gods in a Beaune wine cellar could well take on the tang of vinegar back in Blighty.
Fantastic driving round the Corbieres, Minervois and Cabardes regions if you do want to head further south, (excuse lack of accents), I know that area very well and hared around it loads last autumn in the Z3. It's like Cornwall - outside tourist season the roads away from towns are basically empty. I'm going to be out that way myself at some point this year, would be great to tie it in with some social driving
