Whats the likely hood of this getting sorted by the end of next month?
We have a tour of Northern and Western France in our old VW t25 which is diesel. Might start making a plan b for a trip into Belgium and Germany
Based on what we saw, getting diesel won't be a problem, just hope that the weather clears up a bit. My (French) relatives said that it was mainly Paris that had problems and then only for a few days. We have a tour of Northern and Western France in our old VW t25 which is diesel. Might start making a plan b for a trip into Belgium and Germany

Flew into Marseille on Friday. No ATC delays and no sign of strikes or fuel shortages anywhere so far.
Weather is absolute shyite ' tho.
To be honest this was the main reason I cancelled. Obviously the fuel situation was a worry but it was a bit of an unknown, the weather forecasts were accurate though in predicting all the rain they've had. Didn't fancy touring in pissing rain all the time. Hope Germany is dryer in 2 weeks time.Weather is absolute shyite ' tho.

I left UK on 23rd May and drove down to Monaco for the F1 GP and only had one problem filled at Nice, I could only buy 20Euros worth of fuel and when buying Super Unleaded that's not much, only just over three gallons. Anyway made it to Monaco and filled up in three stops on the way back even though the news was saying there could be loads of trouble, we stuck to the auto route and had no problems at all, we left on Monday 30th to come back. My Audi RS2 performed impeccably all the way down and back and drunk enough fuel to fill the Tory Canyon but that's another story. The only issue we had on the whole trip was the M25 on the way back, it took 4 hours to travel 50 miles but apart from that it was a pleasure to do.

I left on the 24th for the same reason, and drove via Belgium, Luxembourg, Germany, Switzerland and Italy... added an extra hour on the journey, but I didn't have any fuel anxiety.. Did the same coming back Sunday afternoon, Monday and Tuesday 31st. Strasbourg to Calais via AutoRoute wasn't a problem other than the rivers of rain. S2000 has a 260-70 mile range but it wasn't an issue. As said elsewhere if there is a problem, it's likely to be derv related as the Frenchies love their derv..
