I'd say a package holiday was the epitome of public transport.

You travel with other people.
You cannot choose those other people.
It is public transport.

What else is it?

And as it's public then anybody can travel. In fact I think it's quite selfish of you to think that certain people shouldn't travel.

It's not selfish to expect a little peace and quiet on a long-haul night flight!

Comparing it to jumping on a bus down to the shops is quite pathetic!

Why do people book holidays and then think about what it's going to be like when they get there?

"just booked two weeks in Spain - what's it like ?"

Surely you would consider your sons comfort before booking a holiday?

I agree. I typically fly half a dozen or so long hauls a week and adults are much more of a pain in the ass than kids.
A WEEK ?
