Anyone used the T2 Multi-storey car park at Manchester? Just after some feedback on ease of finding space/s please smile

Other option is Jetpark 1or2 but just read a few reviews on poor surface (potholes, gravel etc)

I've used them all.

The multi story is the most convenient, but the most expensive.

All the Jetparks (Including 3) are OK, if you don't mind waiting ten minutes for a bus and then a five minute ride to Terminal 2.

I've never had a problem with the surfaces personally.

Thanks WR. Good to hear the surfaces are ok on the Jetparks. Do you ever have difficulty finding spaces? A few people on Tripadvisor have left feedback on this - especially the T2 longstay.

A couple of months back I used 3, which (to be fair) is a mile or so away from the terminal, but it wasn't a problem, I think it cost around £27....The multi story was around 50......(For a week) It was very busy, but I found a space OK.

Last time I used the multi story I left my boot on the latch with the boot light on, and when I returned a week
later the battery was completely dead, so I had to call out the AA for a jump start........grumpy

Money no object, use the multi story, but £50 is a lot of money, although to be fair I'm a tight arse....smile

My daughter uses T2 multi storey all the time. It is often close to full but she always gets space, even if near the top.

Cheers guys. Might run with Jetparks 1 or 2 to be on safe side. Need a big-ish space for 4x4 tank

i've never used it but i think the spaces are inside the building. Just go in the entrance, and keep driving till you find one.

There's also the Meet and Greet at T2 which isn't much more than the T2 long stay; I like that one as you're not at so much risk of getting the car biffed by a family with kids arriving/leaving in the next bay.

(I've also got a dashcam and can confirm that they drive my car very carefully and did not go on a Ferris Bueller race around or go doing handbrake turns etc).

never use the meet and greet / valet parking... they just take your car away and park in on a council estate street in wythenshawe. It's not a bargain, they just don't have anywhere to put the cars.

I take it you're being ironic? I know exactly where they keep them as I have watched it on my dashcam out of curiosity.

Hopefully this will work, but this, in the curve beneath the motorway is where they are taken to.

I did think that was one hell of a statement by Blown2CV...
they don't just take your keys and go and park it all nice in a car park you could have used, they take it fking miles away and throw it in a corner of a field or (and this has been proven) residential streets in the sttier areas around the airport. Why do you think they park it for you - just to be nice? Also they're going to do a ferris beuller if you have a fast car. All facts.

is that not tarring all companies with one brush ?
I've never had a problem,, monitored the mileage and the ave MPG after drop off etc...
it probs is, but there are enough parking sharks operating around the airport for me to pay a couple of quid extra and park it myself on-site.

I used to use meet and greet but stopped when I couldn't convince myself they weren't talking liberties with the vehicles. I now park at T2. Takes a little longer than meet and greet and is more expensive but I'd rather do it myself now than hand the keys over to potential Ferris wannabes. I never take a particularly decent car ether way.

I would not risk one of the 'off airport' meet and greet, but the airport Meet and greet at Manchester - yes every time....

At Manchester it's setup properly - you drive through an entrance. Get photographed etc.. Leave your keys in the office. When you come back the car is parked up in the meet and greet car park. Collect your keys etc... Not just meeting a random bloke.

Blown2cv, I thought we'd discussed this previously?

The official Manchester Airport Meet and Greet, which technically is the wrong name for it, is a very different operation from the many off site Meet and Greet companies.

I can't add anything more than a couple of posters have already mentioned, and yes, I'm in agreement that some off the off site companies do use some rather dubious locations and indeed "staff" to park vehicles.

The car parks above are just 2 of many that are used, and whilst Manchester does have it's occasional issues like any business, the sweeping statement of their drivers being Ferris Bueller simply isn't true.

Even if it is, what's to be gained from letting someone else drive your car? You can park close to terminals yourself. It's not cheaper. It's just allowing someone else to be careless with your property. Twice in my life I've let "valet parking" park my car and they've damaged it. Never again!
