For no reason the outside lane has been coned off just before the border going into Belgium and the same going into France. No police or check points.

I can think of one really reasonable reason.

But there's just cones, filtering down to one lane,no police, road workers or vehicles.

Of all the things that have occurred in France in the last day or so this is scandalous.

Just because you can't see them doesn't mean they aren't there.

This, or maybe they were there and have now been deployed elsewhere, or the cones have been put out by the péage crew and Les Garçons dans Bleu are yet to set up shop?

Closing a lane off on a motorway isnt going to stop terrorists isnt it. Like last time Mohammed and his fking mates struck, lets shut the main road in and out of France but actually do fk all,it was divert off of the motorway around a roundabout then back on the motorway, No body was stopped,it was an inconvenience exercise.

Anyways,if your driving through France tonight heading into Belgium prepare for a wait or divert off and head down the canal road.

fking don't then and do us all a fking favour.
Given what's happened in France in the last 24hrs and the strain they've been under in general for what, the last year or so, d'you really think a line of cones is an issue? Stil, I'm guessing if they were stopping every car at the border, emptying the boot and strip-searching the occupants, that'd be wrong too?
You must lead a pretty empty life if this is the most you've got to worry about.

I guess I ran out of patience and politeness when, having had a couple of perfectly rational explanations put forward, you came back with crap like this:

His problem is that 90% of the time he posts like a wker. It oesn't appear to be tpoic specific - think he uses a shotgun approach.

This thread is useful for those of us wanting to travel by road through France,as I wish to do next week.
I took part in the previous thread when wanting to go to Brussels in January.
Interested in all borders experiences and issues encountered.

Please keep them coming road travellers.
