I have a business trip to Mexico City end Nov/early Dec. I'll arrive on a Tue afternoon, and have meetings at least all day Wed & Thu, and fly home Fri night - so I've maybe Tue pm and Fri to see some stuff.

What would the PH collective consider as the "you *MUST* see this/go here" whilst I'm there, please?

Thanks orflee!

Stay safe. I'm not saying to hole up in your hotel room the whole time but be extra cautious and have your wits about you.

As for things to do go on tripadvisor and scroll through the top rated and pick what appeals to you.

Surely will!
Is Mexico City considered more dangerous than Bogotá or Buenos Aires? I went to both last Autumn.
We were looking at hotels near our meeting locations, but the locals advised against it, so now staying at the Grand Hyatt, which means 45-60 each way by taxi.

What's to see? I now only have a Tue afternoon/evening free!

The city zoo and surrounding Park are pretty cool. If you have transport then a visit to the pyramids just at the edge of the city is well worth it

Xochimilco is a nice few hours visit

A trip to the top of the Latinoamericano sky scrapper is worth it for not a lot of time.

When out and about carry two wallets. One hidden on you with most of your cash, and another in your back pocket with 10 dollars or so and some change with old cards which can be handed over without issue. Hopefully not that it will happen.

I went to Mexico city, its a huge place, and most of it is slums, however 2 places we went I can recommend:

1. a district called "Xochimilco Canals", its basically carnival style boats, you pay the driver/owner and he will ferry you up and down the canal, along the way there are food and drink boats, and gardens to stop off at for a nose around, as well as boats with bands etc on them, there are no engines, the driver just uses a long pole.

2. There was a square with a food market and a rooftop bar, we ate in the market, purchased some sombrero's drank tequila and had a good time, however I cant find it, just spent 10 mins trawling google maps but no luck im afraid, sorry!

This if you can get there and back, which I would have thought was possible with a taxi or arrange something from your hotel?

2 of the largest pyramids in the world and an amazing site to visit.
