Absolutely, I always choose to travel with Monarch from Manchester as well, despite Ryanair & EasyJet at Leeds being much closer to home. Monarch are vastly superior to both.
Indeed. Plus you may get to meet Rob's wife.

Naah she left them ages ago, moved to EasyJet, then worked private biz jets. Now to found making BA crews life hell telling them she didn;t used to do it like that and could they bring another G&T while they are about it. smile

pity.

i usually used them in preference to BA or Virgin to TnT when they were doing longhaul. and always used monarch rather than BWIA or their reincarnation as Caribbean Airlines. Price was a major consideration but i genuinely found the flights better in many of the important areas.

They now have a 24 hour extension ..... the worst flight i have ever had was Monarch, boeing 757 to the USA. Next to no legroom.

We fly out to Cyprus with them last week and the legroom is a joke, hopefully we should be ok on Wednesday

Ryanair have the best legroom out of the LoCo's.

It doesn't appear to be looking too good, there seems to be aircraft in place at STN, BHX and LGW on standby and Monarch flight prices went up by 4 times the normal price overnight.

Used them from Naples I’m 6’3 and couldn’t fit in my seat.

Vultures are circling now.

Flew with them last week. It was fine. No different than any of the other budget airlines which I’ve also flown on in the last few weeks.
Pilot was a bit over cautious but I guess I shouldn’t really complain about that.

its at this time you need to feel sorry for the social media teams who are being abused and accused of all sorts with most of the abuse coming from peasants who just want a fight and don't even have a flight booked!

I looked at twitter earlier and it appeared everyone was asking the same question, like people are going to be told yeah we are packing up shop.

8 Qatar 320's have left Doha by all accounts, last monarch flight in the air departs Ibiza at 3.35am.

Flightradar24 have just tweeted,

"Qatar Airways are positioning A320's to UK, on request by the Civil Aviation Authority in UK, to be used if Monarch Airlines collapse."
