Accessing money in Thailand
Discussion
Hi all.
What's the best way to access my (English) money in Thailand? I hear that there's a 250 baht charge per ATM withdrawal. That's £5.55!
I have a credit card which is free to use on purchases overseas, but I hear that Thai's use mainly cash transactions.
It seems that perhaps taking a sum of pounds with me may be the way to go, as I hear that the foreign exchange charges no fees and no commission, so the rate is good. Does this sounds like the way to go?

Ideally take cash as you can get it changed for a good rate very easily
I was there for a while so had to use my card aswell, I was charged £3.99 on Koh Tao and Koh Phangan so withdrew larger amounts but I noticed on my statement I was only charged £1.30 in Bangkok so the bigger resorts and cities might also give a lower charge
You can use your card in some places but cash is so much easier
