We went on Little Toot too - went out at 1pm. Really good way to spend an hour or so before jumping back on the beach

Ha it's a small world. We were also on the 1 o'clock trip.

There was 7 of us. 5 adult's and two kids. I was the guy with the very burnt face. Well I was by the time I got off the boat.

+1 for Clearwater. Amazing beach and had an old town feel.

Even the McDonald's looked like an old beach hut to fit in.

Kids didn't want to leave the place.

And you all missed Gumbopalooza at the Fish on Fire yesterday. It was absolutely brilliant - and a hidden gem.

Try to convince them.

I'm not easily impressed but the Saturn V is worth the trip to florida alone. They now have the shuttle exibit which is also great (but not as good as the saturn V). Also the at the saturn V exibit you can touch a piece of moon rock.

If you get time go to the hall of fame which is near by. They have the windshield from one of the crashed shuttles. Its very sobering frown
Unfortunately I'm running out of time. We're doing clearwater tomorrow. Still to go shopping. Have epcot Monday evening and think we're doing hard rock cafe Sunday night. Plus there other stuff they all want to do. Going home Tuesday. Boo!

Next time I think, but I'll try to squeeze it in.

I will say this, when I come back, I'll not be doing Disney again.
I would agree on Disney. We've been about 6 times and only did Disney on the first one.

Universal parks are better value for money, and more fun. You can get a 14 day ticket to IoA and Universal for about £175 per head.

Kennedy is a mixed bag IMO. It is worth it to wonder round and look at the rockets, but the rest of it, when I went at least, was looking very tired. They had a new ride which was supposed to be a shuttle launch experience. It was pants to be honest, really low-rent after you've been to the other parks in Florida.

Food options were fking grim as well. Mac n Cheese or some plastic looking turkey leg that looked more like a flinstones prop. Grim. Not worth the price of admission and not worth the long drive to get to it from the middle of Orlando.

Its a great place Clearwater. Many happy memories when younger of parents driving down from Orlando, usually at night, finding a motel near the beach and having an awesome few days playing in the sea.

I'm not sure I agree with this, despite only going now when we have guests visiting who want to see the place. It's not an amusement park - and has never been billed as such. I think young kids and some women (my wife being one of them) are likely to find the place a bit tedious - there has to be some inherent interest in what the facility was/is all about.

The first time I saw the Saturn V exhibit, it really took my breath away - hugely impressive.

Finally, I've forgotten what constitutes a "long drive" back in the UK, but KSC is about 45 miles from downtown Orlando, I can get there from my home near OIA in about half an hour - straight shot east on SR528 Beach-line Expressway. So, for comparison, it's quicker to get to KSC from the airport than from the airport to Magic Kingdom.

The new Atlantis exhibit in Kennedy is excellent and worth the trip for it alone. Then the ride down to the Saturn 5 is just a bit of an extra bonus.

Go out of Orlando a bit and go on an air boat ride. We were lucky as the guy had his "hot version" out which had a huge V8 big block Chevy. The speed and noise is unreal

Kennedy Space Centre isn't a theme park, so not much point complaining about the rides. Not even sure they are pitching at at the same people who go to the parks.
