My wife's decided (due to breaking her leg last year) not to ski again, but my grown up daughter is interested in going, so I thought I'd try and find us somewhere cheap in early March.

We both like the Portes Du Soleil and we've self catered there in the past.

So, couple of questions.

1. Recommendations for good websites to get details of available apartments?
2. If we arranged a flight to a nearby airport, are there any options for transfers other than renting a car or a taxi, which will probably cost more than the rest of the holiday put together? Are there buses from, say, Geneva to Avoriaz/Morzine?

Thanks

M.

I own in Morzine, and have lots of contacts for rentals here where the private ownership is high, but Avoriaz has a slightly different selection of properties

Transfers: loads of options including buses from GVA to PDS. Look at SkiidyGonzales for transfers, very organised. https://www.skiidygonzales.com/

Rentals cars from GVA aren't that expensive, Go for a Ford Focus or similar, all depends on how many adults.

Go to Morzine, not Avoriaz. Much better for the non-skier. As for apartments, fill your boots:

No non-skiers involved and we prefer Avoriaz, but I'm off to Garmisch now.

Thanks for the help though, I'll file it away for later trips smile
