Not sure if anyone has used this stuff but even for the non-detailing types this stuff is worth a look.

The car was coated with two layers of wax and a layer of sealant. The beading has died down a little so it was time for a top up.

If you've not heard of Gyeon Wetcoat, it's a sealant that you literally spray onto the car whilst it's wet, rinse it and it ends up beading like it's just been waxed. Amazing stuff and the beading will last 4-6 weeks.

So, washed car and water sheeting off but nothing impressive....

Spray on the Wetcoat....

The water activates the product and as you give it a once over with a hose or pressure washer, you're left with a rain repellent finish. Even on a totally non-waxed car.

I know not everyone on here is the detailing type who'll spend hours waxing a car but this stuff could make a good substitute or easy bit of extra protection on a sealed/waxed car.

They do a shampoo with similar effect, use both together they're awesome.

Car stays cleaner for longer too (or is that my imagination?)

Well dirt is less likely to stick to a slick surface so dirt may not stick as much when it's wet.

I'll have to try the shampoo. I've used this stuff a year or so. First detailing products I've found that really surprised me.

I'm in the same boat and started with Wetcoat last weekend, but i am pitting it against my other car which was cleaned the same day had some Sonax BSD applied.

So far i think wetcoat is a brilliant time saver which is what i am looking for - not sure if its great on glass though as i can see some spotting that wont go away.

I'm going to document how long each respective product lasts on the cars ( http://www.wheels-inmotion.co.uk/forum/index.php?s...). I have a suspicion the Sonax BSD might just pip it on durability. Ease of application cannot be matched though!!

Thanks for the reply Steve, will be interested to see what you find.

I must admit, even though know my cars are protected the Wetcoat adds a certain something. The beading is pretty much as though it's been freshly waxed. A plus being that it repels the dirt so much better.

It's great stuff, and as someone mentioned above their Bathe+ shampoo has a similar effect

Thats changed then, TAC always used to be cheaper. Probably pressure from the companies it supplies.

I did use the Gyeon Bathe (not the + version) and that I was seriously impressed with it. Very very slick and decent concentration.

Gave all three cars a second coat of Wetcoat with the wash on Saturday. Hopefully that should be pretty thorough and last into the spring now.

Beading is still bloody good..
