Hello All,
It's that time again.....Just got the green light for a roadtrip at the end of August.

Last year we went down through France, along the south coast, Lake Como, Swiss Alps and back up through Switzerland and France so this year We have decided to go a bit further.

So here is a rough plan
https://goo.gl/hLIyRe

The chariot: SL55
Time: 17-18 days
Miles: 3,375 (estimated)
Countries: 8(day trip to Montenegro)

Before anyone chimes in to remind me that it looks like a lot of driving or mpgs, etc ...there is no need as I love this sort of holiday.

So here goes....
I have more holidays than SWMBO so I am going to go solo on the Eurotunnel then straight towards Affalterbach to visit the AMG factory, then on to Nuremberg before a quick blast to Vienna(this should take me 3 days). The better half will fly into Vienna and I will collect her there. We will spend a day or two in Vienna then head south towards Zagreb. Work our way down through Croatia and if we have enough time into Montenegro. Ferry from Dubrovnik to Bari. Then make our way back up the the west coast of Italy stopping off in Naples, Rome, Florence and Venice. From there back over the Alps and blast back towards the Euro tunnel. Its a tall order but I enjoy a challenge.

Most of the time we will plan to stay outside the big cities in places that are a short train/bus ride into the city centre. Easier for parking and driving, etc

We wil have a few long days driving of 6-8 hours but most other days will be 1-2 hours in the morning then another 1-2 hours in the evening which we find manageable.

So over to you folks. Please give me as many tips, hints, epic roads, amazing views, hidden gems and general info you have up your sleeves.

Thanks a mill.

Johnny
